Sepultura’s acclaimed 1989 album, Beneath The Remains, marks the band’s major label debut on Roadrunner. Widely regarded today as a thrash-metal classic, the album perfectly distilled the Brazilian band’s potent mix of piercing melodies and pummelling rhythms.

The third studio album from the influential Brazilian heavy metal band Sepultura, Beneath The Remains was released on April 7, 1989.

Produced by the band and Scott Burns, it was their first release for Roadrunner Records. Its aw them move away from their earlier, black metal inspired sound to one that took on elements of death metal, thrash, as well as adopting influences from Black Sabbath and Corrosion of Conformity.
