A bold debut from a rising voice in the alt-rock space Midlands-born Nieve Ella steps forward with her highly anticipated first album. A chaotic, emotionally vulnerable record that encapsulates young female angst, Nieve Ella is done filtering herself. This sonically intricate encapsulation with Jamie Rendle and guitarist Finn Marlow beautifully pairs anthemic guitars and soaring vocals. Lyrically Ella articulates struggles with mental health and betrayal within relationships with pure poignancy and accuracy.
Supported by a strong and fast-building campaign, the album arrives off the back of an extensive run of live activity. Nieve started this spring with intensive sold-out fan shows which received mass attention for her entrancing live performance.
Blending raw, vulnerable songwriting with a heavier, guitar-driven sound and striking visuals, "How Long Will It Take?" marks a bold evolution for Nieve as she carves out her place as a woman in the alt-rock and indie landscape.
