“When they wake up, there’ll be a change of management.”

At the height of the Second World War, in a Nazi POW camp on a Greek island, prisoners are worked to the bone unearthing ancient artefacts for Berlin. A local resistance movement plans to overthrow the occupiers, and the unexpected arrival of two USO artists could provide the opportunity they need. But even if they successfully expel the German invaders, who exactly will walk away with the island’s valuable treasures?

This thrilling and funny adventure was filmed on the island of Rhodes, with director George P Cosmatos taking full advantage of the extraordinary scenery. An action-packed adventure boasting one of the best motorcycle chases ever committed to film, the film stars Roger Moore, Telly Savalas, David Niven, Stefanie Powers, Elliott Gould, Claudia Cardinale, Richard Roundtree and Sonny Bono.
