Having brought their esoteric Funk leanings to Prince & The Revolution through their purple reign in the early '80s, Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman split to pursue their own maverick musical path in 1986. Their self-titled debut saw the duo at their most creatively daring and typically eclectic - ranging from Minneapolis Funk to Jazz Fusion and acoustic balladry.
