Trivium's eleventh studio album, Crown In The Grave, builds upon their signature blend of crushing heaviness and technical firepower while pushing into new sonic territory. Inspired heavily by Akira Kurosawa's Throne of Blood and classic Japanese cinema, the record explores a darker, ghostly atmosphere cantered around themes of fate and downfall.
With a focus on massive riffs and towering choruses reminiscent of legendary '90s metal albums, the release represents a confident rebirth for the band.
