The album was recorded over the course of 2 years in Los Angeles by Local Natives and producer John Congelton (Angel Olsen, Death Cab For Cutie, St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, Wallows), with additional production and contribution from Michael Harris and Danny Reisch.
