Seagate
Seagate portable drives are the straightforward way to move a lot of files off a laptop. The range at JB Hi-Fi covers the One Touch and Expansion series from 1TB up to 5TB, in a case small enough for a bag and powered over the cable rather than a wall socket. They work with Windows and Mac without reformatting, and One Touch models add password-activated hardware encryption plus bundled data recovery cover. Choose capacity by what you are storing, since photo and video libraries grow faster than most people expect.
