The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is Samsung's latest book-style foldable smartphone. It opens to a 7.6-inch main screen for tablet-style multitasking and folds down to a 5.5-inch cover screen for everyday phone use. The Fold8 is built around Galaxy AI features including Now Nudge for intelligent task prompts across the cover and main screen, Photo Assist AI editing and One UI 9 optimised for split-view multitasking on the large main display. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy with 3000 nits peak brightness on both the cover and main screens. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is available in three colours at JB Hi-Fi NZ:

• Graphite — a dark, refined finish for a more understated look

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 has a 7.6-inch main screen when unfolded and a 5.5-inch cover screen when folded. The main screen measures 7.6 inches in the full rectangle accounting for rounded corners, and the cover screen measures 5.5 inches in the full rectangle and 5.4 inches accounting for rounded corners. The actual viewable area on both screens is slightly smaller due to the rounded corners and camera hole cutout.

The Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra are both book-style foldables but differ significantly in screen size, camera, battery and storage:

• Screen size: Fold8 has a 7.6-inch main screen and 5.5-inch cover screen. Fold8 Ultra has a larger 8.0-inch main screen and 6.5-inch cover screen
• Camera: Fold8 has a 50MP wide camera with up to 10x digital zoom. Fold8 Ultra has a 200MP wide camera, 50MP ultra wide with 8K video and up to 30x digital zoom
• Battery: Fold8 has a 4800 mAh battery. Fold8 Ultra has a larger 5000 mAh battery
• Storage: Fold8 is available in 256GB and 512GB. Fold8 Ultra adds a 1TB option
