Description

The West and the Ruthless is a story of sex, violence, and betrayal taking place at the end of the American Civil War. Francisco Winchester rides West with what's left of his plantation fortune, his wife Scarlet, who is just hours away from giving birth, and their last remaining slave Mary.

What Francisco doesn't know is that their guide to the West is about to betray them by setting in motion a violent confrontation that spirals into the town of Crow's Landing, and disrupts the lives of a pair of brothel owners, who both end up finding themselves wrapped up in tragic love stories that end in a hail of bullets. The conflict also disrupts the life of Grant Morgan, a runaway slave from Missouri who is trying to make a new life for himself out West after losing everything. Here he'll find Scarlet and a path to redemption.
